Isabella Welsch

I was born in the late 60s in beautiful Salzburg, Austria. My father began teaching me yoga when I was an adolescent. Since then, the fascination of yoga has never faded and I started teaching yoga from 1990 onwards, both in my own studios and at the University´s Sports Institute of Vienna.

I also studied psychology and worked as a psychotherapist in Vienna for many years. Naturally, the perspective of western psychology influenced my approach to yoga and vice versa. As a result, I naturally connect the east and the west, the old and the new, the rational and the emotional, and many other polarities into my yoga practices.

For me, Yoga is the most powerful tool to stay connected with good energy, balance and joy in life. Its effects are almost miraculous. No matter how bad or complicated life might be in a given moment, a regular yoga practice will always keep you positive and recharged.

Regarding my own experiences, I can say that this has worked without failing and under all circumstances. The effects of yoga were mild in the beginning and kept deepening throughout the years. Yoga, being an integral part of my life, has added a quality to my life that I would never want to miss.

Isabella speaks German, English and Spanish fluently.

In 2013, I certified in Yoga and Life Education and later completed the physical part and acquired greater body awareness with studies in fitness and sports coaching.

In Australia, I was also able to open my own studio and was blessed giving birth to twins there.

In recent years I continue exploring psychology, theology and various courses to feed the thirst for truth and peace, increasingly necessary in these days to be able to share it with people around me.

“I invite you to be here, now.. aware of the present moment and grateful for the big mystery of life.”
