September 13th-20th 2020: ISHA Yoga practices with Hans Kirchner

In this week you will learn some fundamental Isha Yoga practices, as taught by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev. Hans Kirchner lived in Sadhguru´s ashram in the south of India for 1 year and now teaches in Europe. There are 3 different programs available:
PROGRAM 1 (Sep 13th evening to Sep 18th, midday):
Angamardana: this is a dynamic physical practice with meditative phases. True to its name, it revitalizes the body on all levels including the muscles, circulatory system, skeletal structure, nervous system, and the basic energy system.
Bhastrika Kriya: this is an ancient yogic breathing technique that increases one´s lung capacity and simultaneously relaxes the whole organism. The combined effect allows one to breathe more easily and efficiently.
Bhakti Sadhana: this is simply a form of being, which allows you to truly involve yourself into every aspect of life.
PROGRAM 2 (Sep 18th, afternoon)
Bhuta Shuti: this is a short, yet powerful, daily ritual. It is a purification process of the 5 elements earth, water, fire, air and ether (space) within the human body. Bhuta Shuddhi allows one to get to the root of the karmic imprint.

PROGRAM 3 (Sep 18th evening to Sep 20th, midday):

Surya Kriya: this is a practice, which uses the body in a very meditative way. It activates the solar plexus to raise the solar heat (samat prana) in the body. It also balances a person’s left and right energy channels, leading to stability of the body and stillness of the mind.

Surya Shakti: this is a dynamic form of the Sun Salutation, which builds the physical body. It does wonders for your health, as well as your physical and mental wellbeing. It brings mental alertness and focus, and creates a basis for one to move into higher states of energy.

At the end of this retreat you will be able to practice and deepen everything that you were taught on your own. All practices complement each other and can yet be practiced independently. You can book the 3 programs as described above together or separately.

Arrival, Sunday, day 1:
 from 15.00 onwards: Check-In
19.00-20.00: Dinner
21.00: Introduction

Monday, day 2 – Saturday, Tag 7:

8.00 hydration (water or herbal tea)
8.30-10.45: Yoga programs
11.00: Brunch

Afternoons and evenings:
16.30-18.45: Yoga programs
19.00: Dinner

Thursday afternoon is off!
On Friday there is Bhuta Shuddhi, hence dinner starts at 20.00.

Departure, Sunday, day 8:
12.00: Check-Out

The program is subject to change.

We offer high quality vegetarian  food, using local organic products where possible. 1-2x / week you may choose fish and seafood.

We have two places to accommodate participants: there are rooms in the Athayoga seminar house or in the family-run Hotel Yola near the beach. You may choose between single and double rooms as well as shared or private bathroom. Regardless of the accommodation, the meals are available to all participants in the Atha house where the yoga room is located. Prices vary according to room choice.
